If you need a little more punch and higher quality that the 550 or 5000, this is an affordable way to go. This studio camera has three 2/3" 980 x 494 pixel IT CCDs. The big ministries (Creflo Dollar, Eddie Long, Rod Parsley) in television shoot on 2/3 inch cameras. This camera is also 16:9 compatible and can be equipped to work with Triax cableing. As future TV production moves to 16:9 widescreen format, these cameras are ready for the transition.
This camera is a studio "dockable" camera. What that means is you can attach a 26-Pin adaptor to the back to use in Studio Mode, or dock it with JVC D-9, S-VHS, DVCAM, and other industry standard formats for mobile shooting. Auto Viewfinder adjustment displays the selected aspect ratio (16:9 or 4:3) 3D digital noise reduction cancels out random noise, without undesired lag, by comparing multiple frames together with motion detection, Outstanding 65 dB signal to noise ratio. 600% dynamic range is achieved for both dark areas and highlights, in part because signals are processed at 14 bit resolution to give essential DSP headroom.
