HP Technology

The OptiPrinter Pro features HPs' unique PhotoREt IV colour-layering technology which is able to deliver vivid, true-to-life photos. HP PhotoREt IV controls the placement of the 6-inks more precisely than ever before. Each dot is capable of receiving 32 minuscule drops of colour, each one precisely positioned to achieve smoother graduations in tone and to virtually eliminate any grain in the printed image. PhotoREt IV can deliver 289 levels of shade for each colour (compared with 17 levels in previous generations) and offers a complete palette in excess of 1.2 million colours. The outstanding print quality is also achieved through the clever design of the drawer mechanism, which holds the discs in place to such a high degree of accuracy, that the finest inkjet printing can take place. The drawer mechanism's superior in/out tray also allows for fast printing speeds.

In addition to 120mm CDs and DVDs, 80mm mini discs and CD business cards can also be printed with the use of optional adapters and unlike most disc printers, the OptiPrinter Pro uses standard HP colour , photo and black ink cartridges for the most cost effective printing possible.

Direct To Disc Printing

In the Verity Systems Vision Direct-to-Disc printer you will discover some serious printing technology. With variable-sized droplet technology and a print head of 540 nozzles and 6 colors the Vision Printer cannot fail to impress. The brand new Da Vinci PRO-6 Photo is the very latest in desk-top CD and DVD printing. This high definition CD/DVD printer, allows you to print up to SIX CDs or DVDs per session and provides an enhanced 2880 dpi resolution for the very best in photo-quality CD & DVD printing.

Printing directly onto the surface of CDs, DVDs and CD Business Cards, the Da Vinci PRO-6 Photo has a rear fed laminated alloy 6 CD caddie to ensure perfect print positioning of up to 6 discs. The 6 disc caddie is a great time saving device as 6 discs can be printed unattended in a single session. Example throughput is given below:

CONTINUOUS INK
Da Vinci PRO-6 Photo printers are now available with a custom continuous ink supply system. The system has a set of cartridges with tubes attached that allows the printer to draw the required amoutn of ink from the reservoir as needed and provides a continuous supply of ink.

PowerPRO II

Thermal CD / DVD Printer

The PowerPro II thermal transfer printer is a second generation printer for the effective and inexpensive labelling of CD and DVD discs. You can print high-speed, durable text and graphics onto a wide variety of standard lacquer-surface media types, eliminating the need for special printable surface discs.

Print Resolution & Speed

The Power Pro II thermal printer can print CDs at either 300 or 600 dpi and has a printing speed from around 15 seconds per disc (depending on image resolution and printer mode).

Durability of Images

As thermal inks are used in the print process the drying time required by some other printing methods is eliminated. Cost per copy is also very affordable when compared to other printing methods. The low cost thermal ribbon can produce over 2000 images at full coverage.

Changing ribbons is easy, as the Power Pro II's unique flip open, quick-change system eliminates the time consuming task of threading new ribbons underneath the printer heads.

You can print CDs with one colour or full colour using virtually any combination of text, graphics, logo, photo's or other artwork.

Print Resolution & Speed:
The Rimage thermal printer can print CDs at up to 300 X 600 dpi. and has a printing speed of around 50 seconds per disc (depending on image resolution and printer mode).

Networking
The CopyDisc OptiPrinter Pro is available as either a networked unit, operating using TrueNET 2, or as a standalone system where no PC connection is required to operate it. The standalone model (CopyDisc 1 OptiPrinter Pro) is fitted with one CD-ROM drive for the loading of PRN (print files) onto the internal hard drive. This model also includes an ink level detection ssytem. Users can now see, via the LCD panel, exactly how much ink remains in their black and colour cartridges as a percentage of the total ink capacity (e.g. Black 85%, Colour 83%). The detection system can also be set to stop printing as soon as the ink cartridges fall below a certain level, adjustable from 0% to 5%. If the ink detection leevl is set at 3%, as soon as either one of the cartridges has reached 3%, the printing will stop. The result... no more wasted discs

The CopyDisc 8 thermal printer range provides the perfect solution to those wanting to produce CD-Rs & DVD+/-Rs to the highest standard that can equal the quality of the major professional CD/DVD producers. Combining the proven technology of the Verity Systems range of CopyDisc automatic duplicators with either the Rimage Prism Plus or CopyPro PowerPRO II thermal printers, users are assured of quality CDs and DVDs printed with text and graphics.

The automatic operation is simple and effective enabling unskilled personnel to easily operate the entire process. Up to 1100 blank discs can be loaded onto the machine. All command operations are entered via a user friendly control menu. The CopyDisc 8P and 8Pro incorporate as standard a 120 Gigabyte hard drive providing ample storage for data and graphics.The latest technology has been used providing easy ‘plug and play' operation and high performance CD-R writers to speedy transfer of data to the CD-R. Bothe models also support all current CD formats for audio, video and data to ‘Book' standard.

Up to eight 52x Plextor CD-R writers can be installed which makes the CopyDisc 8P and the CopyDisc 8PRO some of the most efficient automatic duplicators available. Pioneer DVR-A08 (Dual Layer) DVD+/-R writers can also be fitted.

Fitted with the Prism Plus thermal printer, the CopyDisc 8P utilizes a low cost thermal ribbon which can produce 500 colour images. Alternatively if a single colour ribbon is used, 1500 mono images can be produced.

Fitted with the PowerPRO II thermal printer and the CopyDisc 8PRO is more economical, providing over 2000 images from a black ribbon. The 8PRO is not suitable for colour or photo graphics.

When printing is completed the finished CD-Rs & DVD+/-Rs are efficiently stacked. The CopyDisc 8P enables unattended operation to be confidently and reliably carried out. The CopyDisc 8P is the most versatile professional CD & DVD duplication and printing system on the market today.

UV Coating Station

Discs which have been ink-jet printed are liable to damage from moisture, light and everyday handling. Coating your inkjet printed CDs & DVDs with a lacquer will protect against these problems and now with the introduction of the new Artcoater, the first ever desktop UV Coating Station, you can do so quickly, easily and safely.

Discs are manually or automatically loaded (depending on machine version) onto the turntable (1). The Artcoater will coat your discs with the protective lacquer (2) and then cure the surface of the disc automatically by U.V (Ultra Violet) light (3). The cycle time for a 120mm disc is approximately 30 seconds. Discs can then be packaged straight away, as discs dry instantly (4).

The technology used in the Artcoater allows the user to fine tune the finish they prefer from full gloss to satin, depending on preference and disc surface. Coating the surface of discs enhances and richens the colours printed onto them.

Designed to be clean & environmentally friendly, the Artcoater coupled with its unique and compact extraction has virtually ZERO emissions.

The Artcoater is available as a manual single load system or as an automated unit with a 250 disc robotic autoloading mechanism. The Artcoater's small footprint means that desk top operation is possible and makes the Artcoater ideal for a duplication facility of print shop
